From building the fastest growing car company in Spain to becoming the engine of a new tech founder landscape

Pablo Fernandez is a five-time Guinness World Record holder in marathon swimming. His instincts to challenge himself also apply to business, where he’s become a serial entrepreneur. In 2016, he teamed together with Carlos Rivera, an automotive professional, to build a smart way to buy used cars online.

Clicars was billed as the “Amazon for cars,” an online marketplace that connects vehicle buyers and sellers in Spain. It added transparency and trust to a process that normally involves hours haggling with a dealership.

Every Clicars vehicle is fully detailed and reconditioned before being delivered. That kind of effort is how the company grew to become a half-billion dollar (and profitable) business with 600 employees, despite only raising $5 million.

Their Multiplier Effect

We selected Pablo and Carlos as Endeavor Entrepreneurs in 2019. They’ve since sold the Clicars and left to pursue other projects, but their success has influenced numerous entrepreneurs and nascent companies around the world.

They have invested in an astonishing 40+ startups and mentored two dozen more burgeoning entrepreneurs. In addition, six of their former employees have founded their own businesses.
